Entre Naranjos Residents Demand Services

A GROUP of residents from Entre Naranjos, Orihuela, and opposition Socialist party (PSOE) councillor Rosa Martínez have criticised the lack of infrastructure and services.

The councillor noted that there are over 3,000 inhabitants, over 1,300 of whom are registered on the municipal census (padrón).

Although the majority of the homes were built ten years ago, many have not yet been officially adopted by the town hall.

She said the lack of a roundabout at the entrance to the urbanisations means residents have to make a three-kilometre diversion to turn in without making an illegal manoeuvre.

There is also no bus service, despite the nearest doctor’s surgery being in the village of Torremendo, and no chemist.
